White Oudh is one of the most unique Middle Eastern fragrance oils known to the fragrance world today. White Oudh is a soothing and exotic oudh oil that is as sexy and unexpected as the person who wears it. White Oudh oil has been regarded as a “peaceful”, “soft”, and “relaxing” Middle Eastern oil. It is "non-stifling" and can be applied anywhere. Use White Oudh as a perfume, or place it in an oil burner and enjoy a sensual and erotic; aroma experience.
History and legend: Oud, Oudh, Aloeswood, Agarwood, Gaharu (different names for the same fragrance) – the Wood of the Gods – is the common name for the tar-like resinous heartwood that forms in the ancient Aquilaria and some Gyrinops species of trees that are native to the dense forests of South East Asia. The heartwood of the tree produces this dark aromatic resin as part of its natural defense mechanism when infected with fungus. Oud has at least a 3,000 year history in the Middle East, Japan and China. Only Kings and the very wealthy were able to benefit from its powers. There are references to agarwood in the literature of India. In Buddhism, the most precious string of beads is made with 108 beads made from oud (agarwood).
An attar (or ittar) is a natural, rich, potent fragrance oil that is traditionally made from botanical sources, such as flowers (jasmine, rose, sandalwood and more), herbs, spices, barks, or musk oils. These fragrance body oils have natural ingredients and last 3 to 5 times longer than typical Fragrance / Body oil. They are typically imported from Dubai, Spain, Egypt, India, etc. and are considered some of the best perfume oils in the world, especially for those in search of Natural Perfumes.
Attar comes from the Arabic word for fragrance and is the ultimate natural perfume. Our fragrances smell sublime and are made of wholesome genuine materials. Oils can also be expressed by synthetic means but generally natural perfumes which qualify as Attars are distilled naturally. So we insist that a true attar, in keeping with the ancient Muslim tradition of ihsan or excellence, must be made of genuine, quality, natural ingredients. Now these attars will naturally cost much more to produce than synthetic alternatives, but the difference is one of character.
There is a way to get your Oud essence lasting longer on you -
If you like it 'long and loud', you can put some Oud Oil on the accessories that you are wearing (bracelets, rings) and the inner side of your cuffs and shirt collar (warning: our Oud essence will stain your clothes and the scent will last for days on your fabric even after washing!)
As skin absorbs moisture, so will it absorb your Oud faster than when it is applied on static things such as your bracelet and shirts. Though it might last longer on these static items, the scent that will develop will not be as layered and full of depth. We find that this is due to the skin's natural elements when reacting with the natural essence of Oud. This wonderful combination of the two properties - your skin and the Oud - will release a more profound and complex layer of Oud scents and notes that are full of depth - more depth than it would have on a surface other than your skin. Unfortunately, this will only be for as long as the Oud essence lasts, but once the dry-down kicks in, you will have a scent that will linger for quite some time that leaves you wanting to smell more.
